Working With Children Check

The VCCA accepts a Working With Children Check (WWCC) which is valid for 5 YEARS  or a current VIT Registration.  If you have one, forward it to the office so we can update your records.

Working With Children Check Requirements

It is an ACF requirement that all Category 2, 1 or R coaches have a current Working With Children Check. If a Category 2, 1 or R coach is likely to have their Working With Children Check expire prior to receiving a new check, the committee may be able to offer an extension in extenuating circumstances. The coach must apply in writing for a Working With Children Check extension and supply documentation to support the request prior to the expiry of their qualification. Please note that it is the coach's responsibility to advise their Club/College of the expiry of their qualification, to ensure parents are aware you are not covered by an adequate check. If your request is successful, you will not be deregistered for failing to maintain a current Working With Children Check.

The request will be discussed at the next available committee meeting and you will be advised by mail, or email, of the outcome. 

If your Working With Children Check has a negative report, you will automatically be deregistered.
