ACF LEVEL ONE

2012 COURSE DATES:

Sunday 12th February & Sunday 19th February 2012. (Both days must be attended) Venue to be Confirmed

Pre-requisite:

  • 17 years and over.
  • Purchased ACF Calisthenic Technical Guide. 
  • Complete Cadet Course
  • Assisting a Level 1 and/or Level 2 registered coach in a class.
  • Cannot be registered as a coach until 18 years of age

Course Requirements:

  • ACF Technical Guide (CD Rom)
  • Payment of ACF fee
  • 100% attendance at course (any lateness requires repeat)
  • 40 hours practical coaching
  • Current First Aid Certificate (ACF approved Course) or Nursing Registration Current
  • Working With Children Check or VIT Registration 

Procedures:

  • The Australian Calisthenic Federation (ACF) requires candidates to complete the course within 12 months.
  • Any extension must be applied for in writing to the Level One Administrator (a fee applies). 
  • At NO time is a Level One trainee permitted to take sole responsibility of a class. 

Update:

  • 4 year period 24 points
  • Made up of: Sports Specific - 18 points Other - 6 points
  • Course modules do not credit you with update points

ASC update books are to be handed in at the commencement of seminars for attendance stamping. If your book is forgotten, you must have your diary signed as proof of attendance for clarification of signing. Update books must be stamped within 18 months of attendance .

 

Extraordinary Workshops:

Workshops outside of the VCCA, must carry An External/Non-Calisthenics Update Application form. Sub-Branch activities must also provide these forms to all participants, and the approval form is to be presented with the Level One Update Book at the time of renewal for proof of attendance. 

 

ACF Banned and Dangerous Dangerous Video

Each Club must own the ACF "Banned and Dangerous Movements" video. It is mandatory that Coaches and Cadets view this annually.

 

 

ACF LEVEL ONE - RENEWAL

All coaches qualifying in 2007 and onwards, MUST COMPLETE anCoaching Effectiveness Audit Analysis before re-registering as a Level 1 Coach (within the first 4 year period).

Requirement:

  • Cheque for $15.00 (GST inclusive) payable to VCCA Inc.
  • Proof of 24 update points.
  • Update book.
  • Copy of current First Aid Certificate (must be an ACF approved course) or Nursing Registration

NOTE: Claim of coaching points for current year renewal may not be claimed until the end of September of that year.

UPDATE BOOKS MUST BE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THE EXPIRY DATE. No lateness is accepted. Consequence is, your revert back to Cadet Status, requiring supervision at all times and you are not insured until Level 1 course is repeated.

Requests for replacement card/book must be made to VCCA and include a cheque made payable to VCCA for $5.00 (GST inclusive) for administration and issue of new ASC card or book. 

Leave of Absence:

Maximum 12 months in any year of the four year cycle commencing after your first 4 years. Application in writing to Level One Coordinator (as above).
