Australian Sports Commission Registration

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC), maintains a database of National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) registered coaches.

Coaches who fail to update and meet accreditation requirements are automatically removed from the active coaches register and are no longer recognised as a NCAS registered coach and therefore do not hold the qualifications to coach a calisthenic team.

Please refer to the Accreditation and Deregistration Policy to ensure your coaching qualifications remain valid and up to date. All ACF Coaching programs are continually being revised and approved by the Australian Cal. Fed. Coaching Committee, (ACFCC).

The Level One and Level Two Coaching Programs were reviewed in 2011 by the Australian Sports Commission.

The ACFCC has worked extremeley hard to revise both these courses and renew the Update Points allocated for Calisthenics.

The current Update Points for Level One and Two are attached and will now be adhered to for all updating points.

Update Points

What are they and why do we need them?

  • Updating aims to ensure quality coaching by maintaining current knowlege and practice.
Why Update?

  • Updating keeps coaches in contact with the most up to date techniques and coaching methods.
  • Updating will play an importnat role in ensuring that the coaching environment is safe for all participants.
  • Updating will reduce the likelihood of coaches becoming involved in legal actions.
  • Updating will ensure that Calisthenics and the ASC will have an up to date register of active coaches.
